BIO
Keegan Kaiser is an emerging jazz saxophonist, composer, educator, producer, and artist from Olathe, Kansas. He has studied under world class musicians, teachers, and composers in developing his unique style.
Keegan has been awarded several honors from various renowned organizations. In 2022, Jazz at Lincoln Center named Keegan the Earl Hines Outstanding Overall Musician, as well as Outstanding Alto Saxophone at the Jack Rudin Jazz Championship. The previous year, JLC named him Outstanding Alto Saxophone at their Essentially Ellington Festival. In 2021, he was named an Outstanding Soloist in DownBeat Magazine's Student Music Awards. In 2020, he participated as a member of the National Association for Music Educators (NAfME) All-National Jazz Ensemble.
In addition to his performance career, Keegan is dedicated to music education. He serves as an adjunct lecturer of jazz studies in the Olathe Public School District, guiding young students through masterclasses and private lessons to inspire the next generation of jazz musicians. With deep passion for his craft, Keegan continues to explore the complex practice of self-expression through music and visual arts.
